Leak from drain pump Bosch Logixx 8 Washing Machine

Hi can anyone help me please.
I could hear that I had a foreign object in the drain pump area so tried removing the fluff filter but it was jammed solid so I took off the drain pump from filter undoing one screw and turning it to release.
Found the object and removed it.
When I tried to put the pump back on I couldn't get all three lugs? to lock in place at the same time when I twisted the pump back on.
I noticed a rubber seal around the pump propeller which I removed and placed in to the fluff filter instead after which the pump connected very easily.
I now however have a leak where the pump joins the filter.

What's the solution?

Pictures of the seal in the pump and filter.
I can't reconnect if I have it in the pump but that's how it came apart.
I can reconnect if in the filter but it leaks.

You need to put the seal on the pump then push on hard and twist. Of course, pressure needs to be even to ensure all 3 lugs make proper contact.

I tried pushing it reasonably hard but was worried I might damage it.
I always only seem to manage to line up two out of the three lugs.
I woke up this morning wondering though whether the seal may have hardened over time and isn't compressing given that I did try pushing quite hard.
If that is the case I assume you can't just buy a new seal?
Or is there something I can spray on the seal to help?

Seal is probably ok unless it feels rock hard and brittle but very much doubt it.
Use either washing up liquid or dishwasher rinse aid to lubricate the seal to ease it in.
Providing you are lining up the lugs correctly (in-line and in the correct orientation) and pushing hard enough it should fit back relatively easy.

Washing up liquid did the trick.
