please can anyone help- my boiler heating control knob , hot water knob , temp knob all keep turning with no resistancs to them but the on / off switch still works.

They don't hav much resistance they are connected to the electronics, or have u snapped them?

no there not snapped but there is no resistance at all to them. can't use the knob to fire it up can only use the on and off switch.

If they just keep turning I'd agree with the Bunnyman , have you trying pulling them out ?

cheers guys need a new electronic board old 1 is busted not bad for a 16 year old heating system

Really they never fail? However make sure you get the right one, there are 2 types for this model

You can tell if thermostats are working as it displays the temperature you're setting it to as you rotate it. Then it will revert back to displaying the current flow temp. If it remains on the flow temp then they have snapped. They break really easily. You could always get your plumber to increase the temperature by manually increasing it on the board.

Not on this model it wont this is the older one with no digital display
