What type of filter do I need?

We recently had our combi boiler cleaned of scale as we had no hot water. The plumber said he could fit a filter in the HW return inlet that I could remove every so often and it would prevent scale getting into the HW heat exchanger.

Where can I buy such filter?

Buy it from your plumber, that way you'll know you're getting the right one for your system

It fits in the HW pipe, nothing system specific.

Probably means a magnet filter on the central heating return. There is no HW return to boiler I think?
