Hi guys,

Bought a water pressure test gauge, but as I turn the tap on, it rockets to the max 4 bar of pressure. Is there a trick to using them? What about the air you would inevitably get in the connection hose? Do you need to leave it to settle?

Any advice appreciated, otherwise I'll try swapping it out.

Thanks

Yes. Some bits of SW London have very goo pressure now that Thames water have sorted a lot of the pipe work out.

You might be near a booster station. Shepherds Bush for example has had phenomenal pressure in the past. Lifting the road when pipes have burst.
