Outside tap replacement

Good evening All.

The copper pipe on our outside tap has burst. At either end of the pipe there is what looks like 'fixed washers'.....can anyone help please ??

Do you mean the olives?

Those are backnuts and olives.

If the olive won't come off the tube then buy one of these and use the olives and backnuts on a new length of 15mm copper tube

Thanks newboy.....what is it I have to do exactly then as the olives won't budge at all, but there is a hole in the pipe !!

It's a bit of an understatement to say that the old fittings were over-tightened!

Right ok. Would it be easier just to replace the whole lot then ?

Yes. If you were to cut those olives off with a hacksaw, the pipe would be distorted anyway.
