flow to hot water tap - stop and start, slow, quick etc..- c

this is a strange one and I'm hoping someone can give me an answer.

I have a combi boiler and the flow to the kitchen taps are fine, the flow to the power shower is fine and so is the bath. The upstairs basin tap sometimes flows fine and then it slows down and then it stops - then i close the tap and open it again and its fine - the basin is in the bathroom with power shower and bath so I'm wondering could it be an issue with the tap?

when i turn the tap on sometimes the pipes seem to shudder a bit and then its fine?

could the tap be a bit scaled up?

any advise would be appreciated

Sounds like you just need a new valve. Take the old valve to a good plumbers merchant (with the head and retaining screw). If you can't easily get the new valve, buy a Tap reviver kit (would mean different tap heads) and swap both at the same time.

Thanks alot for advise - i might treat myself to some new taps if that is the case.
