shower running randomly when off

My mother in law has had a new thermastatic shower fitted about 6 m0nths ago.
Came over ton8ght and it was running for no reason she said its been happening since she had it fitted.

what you think it could be?

Ive never heard or came across it before. But like anything new its under warranty .
