Hi guys, I'm paranoid about water getting behind my shower tray I'm shortly about to fit.

Was planning on loads of sealant but reading up on classi seal makes me wonder if I should opt for that?

What are your experiences with it. 2.5m is only just over £20 so maybe a worthwhile investment? Or are there better products out there or is sealant sufficient?

Thanks

I've used it many times.

Be warned- line it up properly first once it's on- ITS ON

Another vote for using classi seal, no matter how much mastic or how good it is it will break down eventually.

Thanks for the advice think I will get some.

Should I i still add the sealant on the lower part of the tray and strip which touchs the wall? Also is a sealant such as Dow Corning the recommended sealant.

Thanks

I stick the classiseal to the tray/bath the use tec7 (high quality silicone) on the outside of that and stick it to the wall and wedge something in to hold the overhang in place till it dries.

Need to get a tight corner if u have one or it will effect tiling, one on the tray the corner overhang can be stretched a bit to make it fit right in the corner. and needs to be one continuous piece or no point.

Might add half hour to the job but will prevent future issues
