Hi all...

almost got our house complete...however hit a roadblock with the stupid ikea sink we went with...now too late to swap out as i've already cut the worktop amongst other stuff

the stupid, idiotic, craply designed 'atlant' waste system...

does anyone know of any alternative that will fit into a 'Boholmen' Bowl and a half sink?

i cant for the life of me find one...

please help!

Hi got same sink ,i made waste up from 2 bottle traps and length of pipe and few elbows,t connector etc from Bq ,been fitted few years now ,no problems at all, recently fitted 3 more ikea kitchens and still won't use their weird looking waste kits

many thanks for replies :)

will be buying some of the mcalpine stuff tomorrow hopefully and rest of the bends etc from probably screwfix as its easier

does it matter how high up the drain hole going out of the building is? theres an existing hole i'd like to use...just for ease and not to have plugged holes on the outside of the building!

thanks

I always imagined that they made it impossible to use standard parts so that people had to buy their odd rubbish!

What problem are you having with the standard ikea waste? I've fitted a couple and they've gone in fine and work ok.

The exit hole should be lower than the top part of the trap, otherwise you will have stale water sitting in the pipe.
