This ought to be a quick one for someone.

My Worcester Bosch combi (24cdi, I think?) boiler is getting a little long int the tooth, but I'm going to keep her going for another season or two.

Right now, whenever the DWH is on (specifically, noticed when the shower is running), the rads heat up.

Does this sound like a breach in the heat exchanger? Simple enough job to swap out for an experienced chap like myself but I'm going to get someone in to do this as I'm just about SPENT after refitting the master bathroom from a strip-down to joists and bricks!! ;)

cheers guys!

Much more likely to be the divertor valve. Get someone in and put a swear box next to the boiler and you might end up making a profit

That's assuming you haven't mixed the pipework up with the new bathroom :p

If you have any knowledgeable engineers in your area they may advise you to get Worcester on a fixed price repair.

They have this saying "they made it so let them fix it".

Sounds reasonable Razor, given the heat exchanger is only a handful of years old.

Oh, and thanks for the vote of confidence over the bathroom plumbing(!) you're all heart.
