Ranging from36 to 48 on bedroom wall. Starts at top of wall where it joins the ceiling. From halfway downwards readings are 2 to 4. How long after exterior repair would i expect damp area to dry out. How can i dry it out quicker? Thanks

If the repair is external and no work was carried out inside( I assume the readings are internal) hire a dehumidifier

All assumptions are correct. Damp area is less than 1sq ft area. Is there any method to dry that area or wud replastering be the answer? Tnx

New plaster won't help it dry if it's a small area buy some damp seal and re decorate this will stop the damp patch coming thought the paint and it will dry naturally
If you want to dry it out first put a dehumidifier in the room and leave it running for a few days and then retest
It's hard to say how long it will take to dry unless you start drying it and monitor the early process then you can estimate the completion date
