Takex twin beam

Started off with a panel tamper fault on a zone with a takex beam.
The receivers attenuation light was lit so I gave it a slight realignment, sorted I thought! (alignment looks spot on through view finder)
Coming out of engineer mode it then said zone masked, went through exiting engineer mode again and it cleared fault.
During following early hours next day it caused a fault twice, I've put zone on soak test last 4 days and no faults have shown up since.
I bet it goes into masked fault after the soak test?

Anyway ideas?

First .... What panel ? Are you using antimask ? Does the taken beam support antimask ? ( not that I know of ) why would the beam out of alignment cause a tamper ? Sounds like a wiring issue or programming issue

Like he said. I'd check the quality of the connections to the receiver of the Takex beam. A masking fault is usually a higher resistance and a tamper can be a higher resistance still. If your panel allows you to check the circuits' resistance then check it. There may be some corrosion in the terminals.

You may also want to disable masking monitoring on this zone - it's pointless on a beam, anyway!

Honeywell galaxy g3 !

Beam has been working for over 8 months with no problems.
Beam receiver had attenuation led lit permanently which ment fine tuning.

To be honest I'm actually a manager on the system but a good bit knowledgeable of the programming/system , I'll either get an engineer or wait for the next time they're on site.
Just don't understand why it comes up "masked" whenever nothing is near it to block it.

zone off soak test and no problems in last 7 days!

went into code 21 as eightytwo said above, previously faulty beam readings zone closed 1032 ohms zone open 2006 ohms
another working beam (comparison) 70ft away closer to panel reads 989 ohms zone closed 1972 ohms zone open.

Looks okay... As long as the numbers stay the same everytime you break the beam, it should be okay.
