prefab , cornish style,

we are purchasing a cornish style prefab (lower portion only) property,
am i required to contact building control / planning permission for building an external
brick wall, and insulation, to the outside of the property.

foundation?
what is required.

yes changing more then 25% of a thermal envelope requires building regs, planning may also be interested.

Why not just EWI it?

daft question what is an EWI.

just a side note, i am not personally going to be carrying out the work, my builder will be doing it
but i like to make sure that everything is done right first time, ( i trust my builder )
