The power of propaganda.

Once again, on the BBC, that programme the other night with Sue Perkins in India. She started the programme by apologising to her Indian guide for what Britain had done to them in the past. she said she was really uncomfortably talking to him about it. The Indian guy said he didn't know what she was apologising for as the British had left them the buildings, the railway and tea. All of which they are still using.

I've spoken with many Indians, and they can't agree whether it was overall good or bad. BTW they don't call the Indian Mutiny by that name. :ROFLMAO:

I often wonder if the blinkered who are jumping on the refugee/migrant bandwagon will eventually get 'it'?

Will they complain when they can't get little Tarquin into the local school because there are no spaces?
Will they complain when they can't park the Volkswagen anywhere near the high street?
Will they complain when Tarquin grows up and can't find or afford somewhere to live?
Will they complain when their gran has a heart attack but has to spend five hours in an ambulance because there are no beds?

My guess is, they will be the first to complain.....but they still won't make the connection.

I am happy to make those sacrifices if it means saving lives.

I assume you'll be having a few hundred of these "enrichening blessings from Allah" camping in your "grounds".

Public opinion will sway any politician and rightly so. It is what their existence is founded upon. I'm astonished you lot don't get it.

I don't believe you.
How old are you?
When you are old, and you're in the situation of 'gran' in Squeaky's post, you might think differently.

What this kind of reporting demonstrates is the need for a British public funded independent broadcasting entity or corporation to ensure high journalistic standards.

Sigh, if only such a thing could be....

We have been discussing that in this thread. How come you didn't realise?

I reckon newspaper editors and owners must get a kick out of manipulating public opinion, not because they care, but because it demonstrates their power.

Why isn't Israel forced to accept these migrants ?Were it not for their warmongering and meddling (backed up by the US), these people would not be fleeing their country.

I don't have grounds, I live in a flat. What is the point you think you are making?

Do you support Britain having nuclear weapons? If so, can we put them in your garden or are you a nuclear nimby?
