leaking corrugated asbestos garage roof

Hi all,
We have an old asbestos sheet corrugated roofed garage, which is leaking quite badly. The sheets have sort of cracked and you can see daylight through it in some places.

I got a quote from a firm recently who wanted £1700 to redo the roof with upvc sheets. Is that about right or would some local independent person be able to do it for much less?

I think its probably beyond squirting some kind of sealant onto it...

Would spending £30.00 on a tin of Evercryl on a cool cloudy day, and a strong large brush, not work wonders?

It's better than bitumen I say, and .... and it sticks like glue.

Thanks, it might be worth a try although brushing it on without falling through the roof might be a challenge!

Only if it's safe? I'd suggest a strong ladder horizontally placed.
