Hi all, i wish to try and blend my ceiling in with the coving, the ceiling has been put up ontop of the old ceiling, plaster boarded, left the coving up as its very nice. There is a step now between the plasterboard and the coving. What filler is best to go along and smooth / blend the both in, i know it wont be perfect but will be better than it is currently.

I was either thinking of using ever build instant nails, or the everbuild cove adhesive in the tube

thanks in advance :)

Wickes plasterboard adhesive is very cheap and ideal for that sort of thing. I use it all the time.

They only do the big one but at less than a tenner you can use as much as you like.

Anything in a tube would not be suitable really. Stick to a powdered filler, generally cheaper anyway.

Hi all used the plasterboard adhesive simple with that just need to let it dry now before light sand and paint :) its ideal for filling :) thanks for the help

No it doesn't. I've been using the Wickes stuff for decades. How long have you been using it for?

I don't use it, I've just had to remove it countless times from jobs where it has been splattered on the front of the plasterboard and it has always been like concrete and ripped the face paper off the boards. Then again, maybe the professional drywallers mix it a little differently to the amateurs. :sneaky::whistle:;):D

Maybe the amateurs don't recognise it when they see it.
