Labgear "Sky+" installation

The issue seems to have been resolved. I reversed the wiring into the triplex part of the PSW351T. This means that it is wired contrary to the instructions that came with the plate but it does work correctly.

The TV connected to "TV" gets signal. If I connect "TV" to "Return" directly and move the switch to "Sat", all other TVs in the house get signal.

Faulty plate? Bad instructions?

No, I really think it's what I wrote before. You aren't completing the loop circuit with a recorder's in and out RF sockets, so the amp isn't being used as designed. All you've done is found a fudge solution.

Can't say I agree with you there. I spoke to Labgear support who said that the loop is only required if the switch is set to "Sat". Under the currently working configuration, if I set the switch to Sat and create the loop by connecting "TV" to "Return" on the faceplate, all TVs work as expected. Previously, implementing this loop made no difference, nor did connecting the triplex to a regular output on the distributor.

Satellite feed also works on both sat1 and sat2.

As far as I can see, it's all working as intended now.

Labgear was bought out by Philex and nothing they do (e.g. mistakes in the instructions) would surprise me. I hope that you've reported the faulty instructions to Philex.

So called "quadplex" plates are wired like this:-

(Quadplex is simple a triplex plate with an additional, entirely separate connection.)
