Help with 2' high garden wall

Both sides of our drive currently has an old, 2ft high picket fence thats seen better days. I would like to replace it with a similar height, decorative brick built wall with built in lights that lead up to the house on both sides.

What sort of depth/width foundations would be needed for the wall, as currently its a full width block paved drive with about 10" gap either side of it, where the fence is currently mounted in.
And what would the minimum width of the wall need to be please?

Just trying to see if its a viable option or not

The wall can be as little as half brick thick i.e. 105mm, but a wall this wide is both difficult to finish (top off) and it won't lend well to accommodating your lights.
I'd build a 215mm wide wall (full brick thick) with 450mm wide foundations going down to load bearing ground. Depth will be according to ground conditions. You will need to remove all fertile/vegetable matter etc then keep digging until you get solid virgin earth.

230mm wide wall constructed from two single leaves of brickwork. Insert brick lights back feed power supplies from the cavity. Close cavity on top with a pan tile and on edge header course. Foundation 450 wide as above but not sure that the foundation depths need to be to deep with a 600mm high wall. I personally would excavate 450mm down and cast concrete strip footing 300mm thick. I'm sure a few other here will advise on an alternative foundation detail.

Thanks guys, only suggested single brick width to keep the cost down and as it is only maybe 2ft high didnt think it would need to be too thick for strength. Each wall would be 10m long, and I'd like a small brick column/thicker end post to finish off at the entrace to the drive. Any idea at all what I will be looking to pay? I'm on the Herts/Essex border. I know theres loads of variables and 'how long is a bit of string' but is there a rough calculation for a ballpark figure?

Just working out whether its an option. As her highness also wants the chimney opening up and a woodburning stove fitting, so no doubt I'll be back pestering you guys about that too before long!
