My Entry Buzzer won't ring

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble changing my entry buzzer. I followed the manual and I can hear through the phone, speak through the phone and open the door. The buzzer however does not ring upstairs. If the phone is off the hook I can hear the buzzer through that however if it's in its on the hook position I only get silence. Any ideas?

Is the buzzer through the handset a nice electronic warble or a rough 50 Hz buzzzzzz?

If you have correct replacement handset I suggest it is problem with wiring. Likely "bussing" you hear in handset is noice from speaker caused by call button shorting incorrect circuit. Check call wire from panel to handset.

Handset probably does not support AC buzzer ringing

Hey guys, thanks for the help and sorry for the slow reply. It's not a constant buzzing, the connection from the speaker is clean. It's only when the handset is being used and someone pushes the call button downstairs you can hear it in the handset. I don't know the brand of the original but I do have this internal picture.

Any ideas?

Looks like a bitron/ SRS wholesale ( bitron ) handset , which will be an AC buzzer

Ok got a new handset, thanks for the advice. All functions working but Now I am getting the warble on the phone, any ideas?
