Going to be laying a ground floor beam and block system in my newbuld soon and in the kitchen I'm going to have an island with a gas hob. I need to get a gas and electricity supply under to the island. The gas is coming into the building from the other side of the house to supply the boiler in the utility. I'm thinking I'll need duct going under the floor from the utility to the island in a straighter line as possible. Is the right? What size duct do you think I need? What sort of pipe does the gas pipe have to be? (Ie plastic and flexible?). The run will be about 8m.
Also have a gas fire in the livingroom that I need to get a supply to but I think I can get this run through the walls / ceiling.
