Can't see how I'm going to run the TPR discharge pipe. Has anyone had any experience with a torrent thermal store? I know I would have to fit an f&e tank though.

You said he customer wants a cyl and immersion.

There is always a route for the D2 might not be easy but rarely impossible.
Why is there no route.
There are pumps for D2.

Also u don't have to fit f&e you could fit sealed system kit.

Don't want to seal system as 3 storey house with plastic pipework 14 years old & whole estate is a leak timebomb !
I don't like condense or D2 pumps where I can get away without one as something else that can fail.

Boilermate 2000, hot water is run off the main cold water via a coil inside tank.

You have two choice:

Convert to open vent cylinder with new cold water tank in loft, plus a F&E tank as well for heating.

Or

Convert to unvented cylinder and F&E tank for heating or change to sealed heating system in loft.

Daniel.

Went to look at job today & an unvented it will be with open vent system. Thanks for the advice.

No Gledhills makes torrent, I would not go for a torrent poor workmanship only 5 year warranty. Im replacing my leaking torrent after 6 years with Joule Cyclone Range of Un-Vented & Vented Stainless Steel Cylinders which have 25 year warranty.
