Following on from the Fools and Horses thread which was something of a nostalgia efts and not wanting to take it OT I'll ask a question in a new thread. Modern tv has come in for a bashing but there must be something that people like , so what modern programmes do you watch?
For instance I mentioned in the other thread I have enjoyed the Dectorists on BBC4 , I also like StillGame , Not going out and even thought Mountain Goats had its moments.
I'm old enough to have seen Thunderbirds first time round but I still like the remake . Ok so I miss the puppetry but I enjoy the fact it's not all CGI and that the plots are as implausible and wafer thin as the originals.
Modern foreign dramas seem to have the upper hand , I have enjoyed Spiral , the Bridge , Arne Dahl , and Cordon though we also watch Vera at times as my 10 year old daughter likes it.

My favourite sci-fi of all time is FRINGE, little known in Britain but one of the best acted and directed programmes. I don't normally like American drivel /cop/ csi type series but currently watching the box set for the 6th time. The detail in this programme is amazing.

I don't watch much American stuff but one I'll make an effort to watch and enjoy is Two and a Half Men.

I may have to look that one up.
I was absolutely glued to "Taken" when it was on. I bought the box set for that.

I watched "Suits" (although had to make sure that the missus was elsewhere, as you couldn't follow it with her continual yapping).
But, that died a death during series three, when the tv box went tits up.
Now got series three on DVD (and series four on the replacement recorder), but lost the mojo to devote hours to it.

Other than that, there's some cracking old-style-educational stuff on BBC four.

Really, don't watch tv. More switch it on, for background noise (didn't switch it on til twenty-past nine tonight, and then left the room to make me tea!)

Just got "Fear The walking dead" Series 1 on DVD. Only watched the first episode, but looks OK.
Walking Dead
Sons Of Anarchy
Breaking Bad

Bit Older, but enjoyed
Medium
The Sopranos
Six feet Under

British Stuff:
Lead Balloon
Not going out

I'll have a look at that thanks. Another one we have found that might be worth a look (but we haven't seen yet) is called "The Strain"
