Door Force error Keyprox (Max)

I am getting repeat alarms being triggered. It looks like one of my Keyprox is generating the error.
On the keypads I get the following error: DOOR FORC A1
On inspecting the logs it I see DOOR FORC MAX 20.
This is the address for one of my keyprox's.

I have checked the keypad and can't see anything obvious.
Tamper appears to be OK as I don't get any tamper errors.
Anyone know why this event is getting triggered?

Is there a cut / fault in the cable? Try running a fly lead see if thus clears the fault

Door forced means that the door was opened without using the reader or PTE. Check your lock and/or door contact

No cuts or faults with the cable.
This is a recent edition MK7 Keyprox with built-in reader. There is no physical or electronic connection to the door.
It looks like the alarm condition is being generated by the Keyprox - I just tried swapping it out with another very old Keyrox and no alarms so far. (I'd stick with the old one but no volume control so is too piercing)

So it is defiantly the CP038 keyprox that is generating the error.
Having run the system without it for 10 days with no issues - I put it back in the system and within minutes I got the DOOR FORC error.
Had a look inside the keypad and there is not a lot in there that I can see would affect it so looks like the keyprox is foobared.

The keyprox is seen as both a keypad and max prox reader. The prox reader protocol has the option for door force, but the keyprox should never send this, as it doesn't have the physical option like the max reader does. Sounds like the main controller chip is faulty. Check the controller pins for dry joints.

I thought it a bit odd that I was getting a door force as I don't have any form of door control.
I'll have a look at the chip and get out my surface mount repair kit

So I had another play with the faulty CP038. Took it apart and had a good look using my SMD Optical Assessment Device (magnifying glass) but could not really see any anything out of the ordinary.
By this stage I had replaced it with another 2015 CP038 which is working fine. So I figured I'd add the faulty one back in with a new address and there appear to be no door force errors.

I'll leave the system soaking for a few days and see how it holds out. In the meantime I have another keyprox on the way.
