How come so many threads on here either get locked, or disappear completely? How come this forum has one of the most biased moderators on the planet? I'm a moderator on another forum and the first rule of moderating is to "follow the forum rules" and moderate in an unbiased way. The moderation on this forum is unacceptable, in it's present form. Perhaps the owners should consider JohnD stepping down as a moderator and withdraw his rights to delete posts and lock threads.

What are you on about? Whoever owns the forum can do whatever they please, if you don't like it go and start your own. I imagine plenty of people would have booted you out long agi.

Maybe it's your interpretation, jock. I've never agreed with your interpretation of events, but it's yours and you're welcome to it.

Every time you see something with which you disagree, you think the world is out to get you, and you cry, "FOUL"!

The world is what it is and you'll have to deal with it! You can't shout, "arley barley" whenever you see something which you think is unfair. You can't roll back to a point that you think is fair, and continue from there, on a course that you agree with.

When the thread was locked I was just getting into my stride, and the carpet was dragged from under my feet. But, hey, there's other arguments, other threads, other discussions.
It is only a debate after all. When time is called, it's called. They don't go on forever, until one side retires or has lost. It's a debate!

Why, what's he done.???? Brought up an issue you disagree with??
Another self righteous bum crawls out from the woodwork.

For moderation to work, the moderator has to put his/her feelings about a subject to one side. Moderators do not "own the forum", so they can't just "do as they please." As a contributor who has made less than 2 posts per week, perhaps you should consider leaving?

Indeed, you are right. the forum owners have the right to do what they want with their site but it is the members who make it, plenty of good guys seem to have left, some of whom helped out in the other forums. I note that the main irritants, JohnD, Himaginn and Bolo contribute nothing to the other forums and so are of no value. I came here to possibly take part in the Plumbing section and to join the Combustion chamber but if JD is one of the guys who own this site, then there is no way that I will contribute or help put money in his pocket.. Sites like these rely on selling advertising. So, yes it is their site but we make the site... I notice Peter, that you have not contributed much to the site despite being a member for some time, are you another one like Bolo or Himaginn?

What a ridiculous comment. Any new contributors should automatically and immediately leave? What nonsense next, one wonders?

Anyway, I was always taught never to speak unless I can improve the silence.

Perhaps he means Handyjack, Corgigrouch, Joe90, Fire and Ice
