Hi Guys,

Do we've alternatives similar to Harvey/Kinectico they're both very good but very expensive. Both are charging £1700+ to fit one.
I even tried local installers of Harvey/Kinectico but they're charging similar amount.

I'm looking for an alternative which is bit cheaper but don't wana compromise on quality for e.g. it must be twin tank, block salt, and non-electric.

Thanks
Faraz

I agree but it doesn't apply everywhere. Harvey/Kinectico charges huge amount because of marketing/sales they do. You can get the same kit for £700 and install it yourself or via plumber.

Yes and no.

Why ask a question you are going to ignore the answer to? Or rather have no doubt wasted a lot of other peoples time asking, only to be given the same answer.

Like I said. Crack on.

Looks like we've got loads of Harveys and Kinectico lovers here :)
Not as such. What we actually are, is a group of professionals who recognise the difference between quality products and cheap tat. We love Harveys and Kinectico because we know that they are good quality, reliable products that will give years of good service. If you've found an eBay special for quarter of the price and want to try that, that's up to you

Thanks guys for your help, this water softener world is completely new to me so i thought there might be alternatives. I've come across this website they're selling Harveys non-electic water softener much less than Harveys and according to them it's the same machine plus they'er offering 4 years warranty on top of standard.Whole system costing me £1000 which is of course cheaper than Harvey's quoted £1700. Hope this work out well.

Sometimes it is worth heading to exhibition shows - Grand designs, Ideal Home, Home build (free tickets are available if you look hard enough) where there are some suppliers/ distributors who sometimes do a little discount.

I picked up Kinectico 2020c for £1100 inc fitting, 2 blocks of salt, and a hopper to allow tablet style salt to be used.

I called Kinectico from the show and they were quoting £1400 for just supply
