Hi,

I've just installed a new Honeywell Galaxy G2-12 system. It'ds a fairly basic setup ,1 x PIR, 2 x dual tech, 1 x push button, 1 x internal sounder, 1 x external sounder, 1 x keypad.

Looks like everything is wired in correctly (no errors coming up through the keypad, all showing as ok). Sounders are working ok as they activate when doing a walk through test.

When I try to set a full alarm the keypad makes the correct tone and the screen looks like it should in the manual but it never counts down, just stays the same. No groups are set up.

Might be related, when I exit engineer mode, it checks for tampers as it should but just before it exits it shows the following message:

System Modules
Was: 02 Now: 02

Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

Have you configured an exit time in menu 51? By default there is no time set and it'll sit there forever.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. I have set an exit and entry time of 30 seconds.

I tried changing the exit time to 10 seconds but made no difference.

Try changing that zone to something else and see if your countdown works.

Not familiar with this panel however couple of questions exactly how are you setting it and when you say the screen looks like it should in the manual. What is actually on the screen?

No, I have one set to final though

From page 88 of the installation manual...
01 final - Zones programmed as final initiate the unsetting procedure and terminate the setting procedure.
note - the setting procedure can only terminate if the exit time is set to zero (parameter 51.04).

So, if you have a zone as 'final', then you need to set countdown timer to 00.

It sounds like it's setup so opening and closing of the entry/exit door terminates the set, which is better than timed imo
