Hi,

Both my daughter and wife suffer from exzema, prior to our current house it wasn't that bad for either, but in the new house it has been flaring pretty badly for both of them - doctors aren't much help with any treatments being temporary.

I have been told about whole house filters offering much benefits with the staph bacteria being cut out, but am worried about if they actually work or not - we want to treat a bath, shower and the sinks so individual filters aren't preferred.

If anyone knows they are good/useless and if good what brands are legit that would be great.

Googling has found some around the £200 mark (plus getting a plumber to fit at - I don't know!) but the one I am looking at claims the filters never need changing which seems unrealistic

Did search first, but all related threads are around 6 years old, and I assume/hope the tech has moved on somewhat

Thank you for the guidance! I did think it was cheaper then I expected tbh. Shame!

I think its a relatively hard water area, tbh I have no idea about this stuff.
