Mira electric shower turning itself off

Hi all. I have a Mira Sport shower that has developed an odd behaviour. When I turn it on at the pull switch the lights will come on then turn off after about 3 seconds. If I manage to time it right I can press the on button on the shower and it will stay on.

I have seen other posts where the issue is the pull switch but could this be the cause in my case ?

Any help appreciated

Sounds like a loose connection or faulty contact. Likely to be at the pull cord.

Thanks, only costs a couple of £ to try a new pull cord switch, thanks
