Replace garage door

Hello,

Quite a straight forward one.. I hope!

I have a garage (separate building to the house) and wish to remove the garage door, brick up the opening and install a regular upvc door + window.

The garage is no longer accessible for cars due to a wall (it was this way when we bought the house) so is being used as a general storage space.

Can I go ahead and do this or will I need permission?

Any help greatly appreciated.

You could fit the door and window. But IMO, that's an interesting set up there, and it would be spoilt with a standard horrible plastic door and window. Give it some thought on design.

Will do, I'm not really decided on the design yet.

Does it sound like a case of 'crack on' or am I likely to need planning?
