How would you get around this?

Enuf wiggle room to unscrew the bar and move it further up??

Definitely need to trim say 30mm from the vertical pipe in the floor so the waste run drops correctly and the fitting to the trap squares back up.

It still won't marry to the waste outlet. Read the post. FFS

Easy there big boy... I did... did you not say grind the box section so the trap can move up? If the box section can move then the trap can move up just the same way and be tightened up

Some on here try their hardest to talk a good job but inexperience/googling can't help but shine through..

Oh and OP, I'd take note of Dan's advise about the flooring, the point loading of that bath's feet may cause issues with the floor in the future, especially the feet at the joint point. A lot of weight in the bath when full.

The obvious get out is an inch and a half male to female adapter. Basic stuff.

Bearing in mind that the plumbing will be exposed, can you get such an adaptor in chrome?

I had thought about your other suggestion of grinding out a section of the box, but had that as my absolute last resort!

Use white plastic waste pipe and shorten above floor run.
Nobody will be peering under the bath to admire a crappy looking bit of chrome !!
If it discharges into a stack, it should have a deep seal trap anyhow.

A bit of flexi above the floor- squashed where it would hit the bar (y) I found that trap via google and I saw that the waste connection is higher so should clear the bar:mrgreen:

Sorry if I went off the handle madrab.
The plumbing forum does my head in TBH. X

NP Jeff (y) ... Understandable, I just try to ignore the more frustrating parts of the forum, can be a real head melter sometimes that's for sure.

OP, aren't you going to have to raise the bath to fit the final flooring anyway? WOn't that create a bit of a fall so the problem shifts a little? Not saying it won't be a problem but I'd finalise the position of the problem before finding the final solution.....

I bought one of those traps from WIZARD BATHROOMS on Tuesday and today (Saturday) they still haven't sent it. So thanks to Wizards poor customer service, I'm no closer to knowing if that trap will solve my problem.
