Repairing leak in central heating system

Insurance should not be involved.

The liability rests with the firm employing the plumber, whilst that was Dynorod, they are a wholly owned subsidary of BG.

Ignore any stupid comments made by Dynorod employee. He is just that!

The evidence is in the leak he caused as shown in your photos.

If he says it just needs a coat of paint then tell him fine he can come and do it himself ( if he can prove he is a qualified decorator )

All this confirms what I have always known....insurance is a total scamming rip-off industry: seldom there when you want help, will do anything to avoid being involved, lie to your face....the list goes on, yet we are often legally obliged to have insurance (car, home, etc). Honestly I don't know how they've got away with it for so long. I rarely take out insurance, except when I really have to.

ye and the cheeky fookers put your premiums up when you've claimed no matter how long you've been paying , w&nkers

This is why my mum didn't want to claim off her own insurance - they basically said it wasn't worth their while chasing anyone else up for the claim, so it would come off mother's insurance and of course, her premium would rocket up next year.

Absolutely nothing back from BG or Dynorod. Mother is hopping mad with everyone. On a positive note, a guy from the council came out and has said that a big chunk of the ceiling needs to come down and replaced, plaster off the affected walls. They'll check the timbers in the ceiling and the brickwork as well. He's also going to get the painter and decorator to come in and paper the affected walls and ceiling and all I'll need to do is emulsion - that's a huge load off my mind as I really didn't want to have to be papering again.

It would appear that BG's attitude is if you ignore it, it will go away. Makes me wanna change supplier lol

your lucky the council will paper as well ( they don't usually well not down here they don't ) , you got a result there really

I know - I think the housing officer felt sorry for mother when he saw the mess and the fact that it was just decorated as well. It is a result, a relief as well and I didn't have to kill anyone. lol Thank you to everyone for listening to my ranting.

believe it or not , everybody rants on here at some time or speaks to someone who is

Ranting is better than murdering somebody hahahahahahaha

Honestly, I was so angry, I coulda smacked somebody.

Hahahahahahaha. Maybe that's why I never heard back from BG - maybe scared the crap out of him haha

I still think they were pretty useless that none of them ever considered that there might be a leak somewhere. If I was called out to a boiler losing pressure 11 times, I think I'd be contemplating that there was a leak somewhere. Prats

Heaven help the council workmen if they don't do a good job......

remember TEA'S AND COFFEE'S . and bacon sarnie , biscuits ,roast dinner :ROFLMAO:

My mum didn't think she had insurance because last year or so she said she didn't have any, but her brother bought the house for her and she says that he has the insurance documents but he's in Croatia just now (who the hell goes to Croatia??). It was very convenient that he left the day it all kicked off.................

He normally just gives her money for anything she wants doing - if he wants to just pay for repairs, I'm fine with that. I just want it fixed.

Croatia is beautiful?
