More important. what are the installers of these systems doing. condensate into a bucket. If a DIYer did something like that the RGI brigade ( at least those that frequent here ) would have a field day.
We don't know that it wasn't a DIYer that did it!
No, not to the outside which would be more.
But to the inside in 22 mm overflow or flexible tube. At £1.32 for a 3 m length of 22 mm its hardly worth charging for it.
The whole job could often be done in 30 minutes.
As for a bus, you can take 2 m lengths of tube. But I would only take a battery drill with a 24 mm wood cutter on a bus. Any drilling of brick would only be done on a vehicle visit with mains drill.
You might be surprised at just how cheaply some people work in London.
I only said "probably cost no more than" not that it would always be £84 !

The frustrating thing is that the pipe goes down through the kitchen (bypassing the sink which even has a spare connector on it to take a waste pipe), then into the garage - about six feet from the main soil pipe for the house. It's neatly tacked to the wall; it's the fact it drains into a big bucket...
It'd take me about 10 minutes to divert the condensate into the soil pipe so I don't know why they didn't do that in the first place.

I have only bought cars with just my own assessment of the mechanical condition. Perhaps a total of over 35 cars! Three at trade auctions and four on Ebay without prior viewing.
Have also bought a house without even having been indoors!
Its the location, location and location which matters. Everything else can be changed or replaced.

...what about the fittings required in order to connect condense discharge pipe to waste pipe?...are you presuming a connection has already been made in order for you to come along and pop the condense discharge into it?
Would you be charging an additional £84 for the bus ride to local merchants in order to collect additional materials?...
I'm not sure 21mm overflow pipe or flexi pipe will get the job done TBH...
You need to stop quoting figures out of thin air ....
You know full well that you won't be attending any of these jobs that you quote on here although it appears to others that you are cheap (punting for work).....I wish there were some kind of way to get you to carry out all these jobs you tend to quote on here..

No I've never had to buy materials.....they tend to just appear when required..
I always tend to purchase extra fittings when running discharge waste for boiler condense....I guess all that is required would be a few lengths of overflow pipe and a 24mm spade bit?.....will save me a few quid on clips too..........then again without a drill , rawl plugs , screws and masonry bit (which I forgot to bring on the bus) I won't be able to fix any clips..

Sure! What's @10k on a total replumb and system when you've just skinted yourself buying a new home and moving your family in, during the depths of winter, when you believed everything to function as you were told!

I will agree with that.
Some people do work ( and survive well financially ) on the basis of having plenty of work at a low rate per hour while others struggle with working (*) less hours per week but with a ( much ) higher rate per hour.
(*) many hours spent not working but looking for work by doing quotes and estimates etc etc.
