Hi,

My plan is to remove the PIR positioned on the wall upstairs on the landing and route a new cable to the ceiling from the alarm panel for a ceiling PIR for this zone. I'm thinking of replacing with a Texecom Rf360. My only concern is that I'm not sure how to wire the first two terminals especially the first one which is Latch/First to Alarm. The second one is Remote LED which I kind of understand. Can the L/FTA be left alone?

Also, does anyone know whether the Veritas 8C alarm panel is capable of having a remote panel connected to it?

TIA

Yes you can put a remote keypad on to a veritas 8 compact
The 360 pir,if the landing is narrow pir will not pick very well you will be better of with wall mounted pir,if large open landing ceiling pir will be ok
360 wiring
You only need alarm pair terminals C and D
Tamper pair terminals G and H
Power. Terminal E positive volts and F negative ov
The other terminals are not required

My landing while narrow is also very short and was looking to cover the stairs going up. Perhaps, I should re-position the existing wall PIR or add another to the zone.
Re the remote keypad I take it that I use the T and R terminals and then the power is connected to the AUX + and - ? On my 8C it's just T and R terminals. There's no + and - next to the T and R terminals.

Yes thats correct use + and- for power to rkp
If the landing is narrow use a wall mounted pir and position it in the best position
