2 Way Light Switch - 1 Switch is back to front

I stood with the electrician whilst he checked everything thoroughly. I was working on the house in the same room for the whole day. He checked everything thoroughly and what he did was considered legal, safe and acceptable by Building Control, so I'm not worried in the least. But thank you for the concern.

What did he say about the lack of grommets?

He said that grommets should be installed in all new back boxes, and that he was happy to see that I had fitted them to all the newly installed sockets and switches.

As this main light switch had been in place since I moved into the premises almost 10 years ago and the wiring was only re-used for the new lighting he said that it did not have to have grommets fitted (although it was advisable) as the switch and it's metal back box hadn't been touched by me.

Hopefully the issue, that is completely resolved, can now be left alone and laid to rest.

You obviously do not have the necessary skills as you have demonstrated that you haven't even the grasp of a simple changeover switch.

I'd not been on this here forum for ages, but I remember you ban-all-sheds. Still a tool then I see. :ROFLMAO:

If anyone else wants to act like a child, show themselves up and prove how ignorant they are with laughable and simple minded digs please, knock yourself out! It really is quite entertaining watching eejits show themselves up and prove to everyone what a nasty person they are.

I'm honestly so much more than happy with my extremely high end, incredibly well designed and built, and perfectly functioning kitchen that I can't worry about a few stupid people's backward comments who haven't even read the whole thread - or further prove themselves to be even more dumb if they have. :D

Hmmmm. Obviously not that well designed and perfectly functioning, as the light switch was back to front and the industrial power supply (traco power?) isn't suitably protected from ingress and also hasn't got a dedicated MCB as stipulated in the manufacturers installation instructions.

Hmmmm. Another clairvoyant! lol

As previously explained I didn't install the lightswitch, it was one of the only remaining things from the previous kitchen.

The power supply is not Traco Power, literally does not have any manufacturers installation Instructions, is perfectly fit for purpose (especially now that it's installed in a suitably enclosed case), and is and always has been wired up to its own mcb.

But thanks for showing your true colours for everyone to see. (y)

Over and out.

Oh dear oh dear.

You really don't like it when the truth about your ignorance and incompetence is pointed out to to you, and when people see through your delusional belief that you actually know what you are doing, do you.

You cannot squirm, bluster, and insult your way out of the fact that you came here because you couldn't sort out a very simple problem with a very simple light switch.

Over and out.
I do hope that means we will never hear from you again.

It would be lovely to ask a question on a forum or share something interesting without seemingly egotistical users feeling they have some kind of right to ignorantly suggest that the op was stupid/uneducated/incapable/untrustworthy etc. It get's so boring.
Well, maybe if you weren't stupid/uneducated/incapable/untrustworthy etc.....

You really expect us to believe that the cable feeding the psu is a separate circuit just for that one power supply fed from its own MCB in the consumer unit? L-O-L

If so, where's the relevant stickers to warn future owners and electricians that the psu and lamps are fed from a dedicated circuit and must be isolated in conjunction with the lighting circuit before work takes place?

So basically over two days it's gone from being "it doesnt require its own enclosure" to "it now has an enclosure"

I smell something lol

It truly beggars belief that anybody could look at a PSU like this:

and think that it did not need to be in an enclosure, and claim that it's not even designed to be used in one.

But then remember we are talking here about someone who also claims to be capable of doing significant electrical installation work and yet can't resolve a simple problem with a simple switch.

I smell something lol
Is it organic plant growth promoter of bovine origin?

Over and out.

Even the cheapest, most disgraceful knock off Chinese electricals and electronics come with instructions even if they are so bad they don't make much sense.
