USB Ports

Hi all, as above none are working on my PC, looking for some idea of what it might cost to repair so I don't get ripped off, thanks for your time!!

What sort pf PC? Laptop? Desktop?
Age? (USB 1, 2, 3)?
are they ports at the front or back? from might imply cheaper than at the back
Are they built-in to the motherboard, or add-ins?
It might be cheaper to buy a PCI-E USB card, or (re?)use Motherboard headers and get a 3.5in or 5.25in front USB panel.

The card or panels should set you back £5-30 quid depending on quality etc, with labour on top of that.

Double check you haven't disabled them by accident. Failing that, check to see if the device is actually detecting them.
