DC Lighting

And seriously my final question: is it going to be a problem if I use the 3W globe-shaped bulb (57-6545) rather than the 2W tube-shaped one you mentioned? Presumably just means it should last longer as it is underpowered?

P.S. Will get a pic up when done!

A novel variant on the theme of 'downlighters'! Given that ~50mm diameter ones have been described as 'torches', I wonder what disparaging term would be used for yours :)

Looking good.

I would suggest anchoring the feed wires to the back to the petter and not relying on the tags of the lamp holder.

Just a quick query on this: the transformer seems to run pretty hot. Hasn't burnt out or anything but it creates a bit of a hot smell . Is this normal for a chassis transformer?
