I have had my pitched roof insulated with boards. They have cut them and slid them up between the beams but there are gaps between the board and the beams. the gap to me seems like the boards are then a waste of time. I have read a few threads on here saying fill any gaps with foam but these gaps would require a few tins!
They have also done the walls with wool and it does not meet the boards so more gaps.
I have not yet said anything and looking for your input as what to say to them. Are these gaps wrong or just a result of tight spaces.
I also note the scheme is paid for by us via our bills!

You can't fill underneath stuff with the foam cans unless you manufacture an external hose that is at least as long as the inverted can. Then dump it after one use (big pile of them by your side?). Best thing to do is to buy the smallest roll of glass fibre, you can and using a strip of hardboard like wood a few inches wide, just jam the glass fibre into the gaps. Its a nonsense job, but it will pay for it self 1000 times over.

Regardless of the solution that job is rubbish, some fly by night company getting rich and doing a bodge job, bet it's British gas.

Don't pay until they have completed the job they were asked to do.

Tomfe you are right, Its a facilities company they are on the installer approved list https://ciga.co.uk/registered-installers/ I suspect they have the authorisation to claim this grant on the room in roof scheme and are probably doing 4 a day to get the money in.
I ain't paying directly, we all are through that little bit on our energy via the government scheme.
I am going to phone them say it is a waste of time and money and see what their solution is.
