Hi All,
After stripping the walls in my new house I am looking at getting the external walls insulated as per someone else's advice on here.
I am looking at the Kingspan K17 plasterboard and dot n dab this directly to brick on the external walls in the rooms Im doing up. First of all, any issues with this? Its a 1956 semi which I believe has a cavity?
I am struggling to see how this product works around window reveals? I appreciate the window ledge may need replacing to accommodate the insulation. How do you marry up the insulation on the wall with the insulation on the reveal, or rather how do you marry it up around corners? Do you simply cut back the foam so the two plasterboard edges marry up and then tape?
Also can I simply adhere this insulation to the reveal where both the inner and outer skin of brick is present?
Any advice or examples of this would be great!
Cheers
Andy
