L shaped shower screen leaking on corner

Hi.

I've recently had a l shaped bath and shower screen installed. All is ok except for a slight leak on the bottom seal on the corner piece.

The screen has a small glass return on the "L" of the bath. At the bottom the straight edges have plastic seals, on the corner there is a separate corner seal. This can be installed either way up with either a long or short seal. The short (10mm) isn't deep enough to reach the bath and the long (17mm) is too long.

I have opted for using the 10mm edge and a couple of washers to bring it just over the gap required which is about 15mm.

This is the best it has been but it still leaks a bit. The instructions mentioned using silicone glue to fix the corner seal the the straight ones. I'm not sure what to glue to what. I have tried gluing the top part of the seal but the glue doesn't stick reliably.

Any suggestions?

Photo would help, but I would say shower screens do leak, that's just how they build them. I had about 3 go with the silicone before it was acceptable.

Here is a photo of before I added the washer, this shows where the water is escaping.

I will try with more silicone and upload a photo of the inside where it is glued.

Check your bath is level; it could also be flexing at that corner and could possibly benefit from timber support.

Did you buy the bath from bathrooms.com? looks like the one I just bought.... and it was faulty. The sill at the corner return on mine slopes away from the bath, meaning that a) water drains towards the seal, and b) the seal is to shallow to work. I contacted the company and they revealed that it is a fault with the whole product line. They suggested buying a deeper seal (30mm), but if that doesn't work... some compensation will be due.
