Hi,

My Saniflo condensate pump (NS01-CD10) sometimes seems to get a bit stuck: it whirrs and goes very slowly before finally speeding up and pumping out the liquid. I have disassembled/reassembled it and while on the living room floor it works. The outlet tube is not blocked and the water chamber is clean.

I'm going to put it back in place in the loft for a while to see what happens, but does anyone know what might have gone wrong?

Thanks

M.

Sounds like the motor capacitor needs replacing?

If it works at full speed when you manually test it but fails to reach full speed straight away when under load it could also be the motor windings are now weak. Capacitors work or don`t work in most cases.

the valve that enters the pump has a non return valve ( a little ball ? ) which is probably stuck

How would that effect the slow start up speed?
maybe he hears it whirrs ( his words ) when pump is empty (no water to pump ) and goes quiet when it is full of water ( sounds quieter ) , just a guess mind
