the washing machine mentioned above is regularly leaving the conditioner behind in the soap drawer. Had the problem before and has been solved by removing tray and cleaning both it and the holes above and the compartment. This time however nothing seems to be working and rather than leaving water behind in the conditioner compartment as has happened when we had the problem in the past, now it is still full of conditioner.

Is it the same or a different problem?

Can anyone help please?

Conditioner syphoning a right pain.
Tiredengineer suggested the cleaning siphon routine. Look down the vertical siphon tube to the very bottom and then push a thin wire along the bottom of the tray until you can see it beneath the vertical tube. Waggle it to dislodge any algae. Also another test to see if there is water flowing into the dispenser tank, if not it won’t siphon, put the empty draw in the machine without the top on. With the machine turned off select M and turn the mains on and wait. At the end of that cycle there should be water in the tank that has come from above!
By the way I have tried all these things and still it is intermittent!!! But I am now thinking that the conditioner viscosity has some influence. I have found that a kind of congealing occurs when water is trickled into the top of the reservoir and the solution thickens and won’t go around the bend . I think I am going round the bend instead. The research goes on 
Regards flounder
