hi peeps, i currently have a 150 w floodlight on the wall with a pir but this is not working so good now. I am going to replace it with a new one and add a smaller 120w floodlight around the corner but wire two lights up into one power lead...i have asked a sparky mate if this is ok and he said yes with a few changes...so iv done a diagram first and thought id get you guys to see if its ok? thanks.

If you want to reduce the bulbs blowing (per your drawing) and save yourself some energy cost ££££
Then take the two halogen floodlights back and get 10 or 20watt PIR LED floodlights instead.
Not only will they use a tenth of the electricity, but they have a life of 10 times that of halogen.

Probably. But the problem is that watts is the amount of ENERGY used by the light. It has very little to do with the amount of light emitted.
To compare light output you need to compare the number of LUMENS. That's why lights these days include the output in LUMENS.
The type of lamp has a bearing ie the colour temperature of the light. Is it cool white, or warm light or daylight etc.
