Hello,

Was there any research done to what's the most optimal heating schedule for a hot water cylinder?

Is it best to keep it on for few hours a day, or keep it on at all times or any other approach is recommend?

What if I go out for a week? Switch it off? How about long weekend? 2 weeks absence?

What is the best and most optimal temperature to be kept in the cylinder?

I know! Silly questions! But I would love to know what is the most optimal way of heating water in my almost-new cylinder... I always had combi boilers before so that wasn't an issue for me before :)

Many thanks for your help.

Cheers
Chris

Best to heat it while you have the CH on then.

Providing the boiler can do both together and that you will have hot water when you want to use it.

It makes little difference really!
