Hi,

My builder has recently fitted the above and done a good job I feel.
There is still some slight gaps where these corners come together. I am wondering whether I should use wood filler/caulk (or something else) before I begin priming and then painting.

I am conscious that there are various grooves that may make the application and sanding tricky.

Thanks in advance.

If the gaps are only 2-3mm then caulk, over that filler. I've used powder based fillers which are easy to sand many times on woodwork and never had a problem, so a wood filler isn't absolutely necessary.

Not realy suitable on new wood which might still have a bit more seasoning.

What you say does work on in situ wood thats settled over time. On a 2-3mm gap a decent caulk shouldnt really need a filler behind it.
