That's a missile carrier off UFO isn't it? I had a Commander Straker haircut till I was 13 and refused to let my mums mate who was a hairdresser cut it any more.

G-Plan dining chairs and Pyrex coffee cup in the photo. We had similar except our Pyrex had a blue circular pattern on it. Darned good stuff.

I knew we had a set of 70s Pyrex plates somewhere. These are the emergency plates for if we have a house full. Tough as owt. As I recall the set was quite pricey to buy.

Age 6 and in bed with measles ( or similar disease ) when I got a Junior Electricans Kit similar if not the same as this except my lampshades were ( IIRC ) red and yellow

Awesome space capsule Wobs. Vintage Action Man stuff goes like hot cakes. Bet that space capsule is worth a lot now.

Blightymam - I prefer these old pyrex plates to be honest. They're easier to wash and if you drop one it tends not to smash. We had the matching casserole dishes with the clear pyrex lids but the wife had a clear out last year so they went. It's best to just ignore the man with the Avatar eye. He's about as funny as rabies in a dogs home and hasn't got much occupying his life so enjoys provoking people for an argument.

Merit also did a chemistry set which I doubt even an adult would be able to buy today.

There certainly were some dangerous toys being marketed. Remember Mamod steam engines? How many kids ended up in casualty with burns from the meths and escaping steam?
Then there was a game you could get where you cut wine bottles up to make stuff like vases. Asking for trouble letting kids play with sharp glass edges.
And don't get me started on the availability of really dangerous fireworks in the 70s. I mean bangers back then really were bangers.

Never had one but I wanted one lol. I had the Joe 90 car with the pull out wings but wasn't very impressed with it as the wheels kept collapsing.

Prob with those plates is that they are fug ugly! Does make me smile tho when I visit my pops. All my life they've had those :)

And ELF, I think he's fine and I don't think he was trying to provoke an argument IMO, just being silly. There's nobody here that irritates me anymore, not since Himmagin got kicked off. Yay! Thank god for that.

A cowboy outfit with six-shooter and holster, chaps with frills, waist-coat, stetson and a sheriff's star badge. Oh and a few rolls of caps for the gun. Yippee!
