Hi I'm making a light fitting that requires 3 bulbs wiring together to then run to a ceiling rose from a single wire. Any help on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated thanks.

He might. However, he did say that he wanted a single cable to run from the fitting to the rose - although that might have been because he was not aware of the existence of multi-outlet roses.

That was, indeed, the implication of the OP. However, with a multi-outlet rose (if that were aesthetically acceptable, and suitable for the fitting he's making) then he would not need to do that.

Thanks. That's what I thought. 'All' you need to do is to connect the four cables (three to lamp holders and one to rose) together using some sort of (suitably enclosed) connector block or junction box (all browns joined, all blues joined etc.).
Can you give us some idea of the nature of this fitting you are making. In particular, what type of lamp holders will you be using?

Fair enough. If you're going to use plastic ones, that makes life a little simpler.
OK - you'll need some sort of junction box, or equivalent, then. Is this place where the three cables turn into one going to remain reasonably 'accessible' once the fitting is completed and installed? Is there going to be limited space available for a junction box?

There are many other possibilities. Ones called "5A" may seem more attractive (smaller), but they might be less easy to use (for the inexperienced) with four cables. If you use any sort of JB like those above, you would need to clip each of the cables to the wood, to remove any risk of them being pulled out of the JB.
