I need a new sledgehammer - big manly 14lb jobbie. Please cast your votes on whether you prefer wood or fibreglass handles.

If you want to also post why, that would be appreciated.

better grip if wet or damp

Sorry should have clarified I voted for wood. However Fibreglass may be better for site work where the hammer might not be as well cared for.

Fibreglass, because my spade has a fibreglass shaft and I like it.
