How do I remove this shower head?

ive tried twisting and pulling but nothing came away easily and I don't want to force it in case it breaks
I just need the spray bit off to descale it

Most come with a tool for removing the head, a plastic ring with lugs that fit in to head to unscrew it. Failing that pop out the Green centre piece and see if there is a screw under it.

OP, you might find Viakal will descale the head without any dismantling. Unless, of course, you have major internal scaling.

Fill a sandwich bag with descaler and tape it around shower head in situ.

Pulling rubber gaiter back will expose the union.

Change it for one with rubber nipple jets and limescale will be less of a problem as you can just use your thumb to displace it.

But it has to be removed in order to change it! Could there be an allen key screw at the top near wall securing it?

Check the top as above post, the Mira Response fixed head has a small hole that you put a narrow screwdriver in and press down, this releases a plastic securing clip and the unit twists off. This may have something similar.

Hi. I've had a look, there is no Allen key hole on the top and the green circle in the middle does nothing. Here is a pic of what it looks like under the rubber sleeve, not sure there is anything to remove it there...
