Hi all
I installed a pyronix system in my home. Works fine, used the brackets for PIRs to mount them in the corners

I'm fitting one at my parents and can't get hold of the brackets, but the PIR manual suggests that they can be installed in corners without the brackets.

My question is how? And if they can't, would you just screw them straight to the wall rather than in a corner ?

Thanks

They can be fitted to the corner of a room by drilling out the shallow parts of the back plate in the corners as like any other PIR. Looks far better than brackets IMO...

No instructions then ?

Thanks guys
Appreciate that!

Whats the best way to fix them to plaster board? the little metal plasterboard screw fixings?

Cheers

Theres not much weight so i'd use standard rawl plug & screws or plasterboard screws would be best.

I've just mounted 4 of these the same way using yellow Rawlplug Uno plugs into 5mm holes. Excellent for lightweight stuff like this.

Thanks guys
All done. Dead easy without the brackets!!

One question though, in this new build house there's a spur under the stairs for alarm. Connected it to this, however there are two twin and earth cables going to there.

One was in a connector block and the other just had live and neutral hanging loose. Not got a tester so can't see if there's any current on them, but any idea why there would be two cables ??
