A leak or weep can be at a radiator spindle too. In majority of cases that is where I encounter the seepage. Not for a second am I suggesting leak will not be underfloor, but what I am suggesting is that the system underfloor is static, i.e. not moving other than expansion and contraction, plus distinct possibility it will be solder joints (unless platstic plumbing in place)
The radiator valves on the other hand are constantly manipulated.

Chances are the system is full of sludge because a pipe is leaking somewhere. This was previously masked by the header tank topping the water up. Now it's sealed its highlighted the leak and probably made it worse.
BGs flush is guaranteed for the lifetime of your homecare cover, not the system.
Realistically the leak needs to be found first, then the system wants properly cleaning and balancing.

The morning after BG came out and repressurised the system, a leak appeared in the ceiling. They're coming back today. When I got home yesterday the pressure was at zero again, and the pump had turned off and was RED hot...which hadn't happened before.

Go and repressurise again to 1 bar put the heating on full and check where the needle is pointing after 30-45 mins.

The heating being on causes more ceiling damage so am gonna wait and see what BG say. Ta for reply though.

Wet plasterboard dries out and can be stain blocked and repainted.

It would help your cause if you could find where the leak is coming from as usually, each visit from BG involves a different engineer and little continuity in the fault diagnosing procedure. Fast track this by looking for yourself!

Since the same system water is circulating through the boiler then there is a very good chance that the hard deposits will also have affected the boiler as well.

While it is true in this case, a new boiler on a system powerflushed and filter fitted, I see little chance of boiler being effected.
